PenOp Strengthens Pension Investment Expertise Through International Training Programme in Kigali

Building Stronger Investment Capacity: PenOp Training Programme in Kigali

The Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) successfully concluded its Advanced Pension Fund Investment Strategy & Portfolio Diversification Programme in Kigali, Rwanda, held from 21–25 September 2026.

Facilitated by Dr. Eric Soubeiga, the programme equipped participating pension professionals with practical insights into strategic asset allocation, portfolio diversification, asset-liability management and alternative investments, including private equity, private credit and infrastructure. The learning experience was further enriched through institutional visits to the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE), Rwanda Cooperation and Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB), providing valuable perspectives on capital markets, institutional investment and long-term fund management. The programme also featured cultural visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Niyo Arts Center, fostering broader cultural understanding and professional networking.
